Straight answers to the questions we get on the phone every day. If yours is not here, call 0203 916 5684 — no obligation, and we will tell you honestly if you do not need a locksmith at all.
We aim to reach you within 30 minutes anywhere in our coverage area. When you call, we check which engineer is nearest and give you a real arrival window rather than a sales figure. If we think it will take longer, we tell you on the phone so you can decide.
Yes. We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including weekends, Christmas and bank holidays. Nights and weekends are our busiest hours, and calls are answered by an engineer or dispatcher rather than an answering service.
Your postcode, what kind of door it is (timber, uPVC, composite, communal), and what has happened — locked out, key snapped, handle gone floppy, door will not lock. Thirty seconds of that lets us send the right engineer with the right parts, so the job is finished on the first visit.
In most cases, yes. Non-destructive entry — picking, bypassing or decoding the lock — is our default approach and it works on the large majority of London doors. Drilling is a last resort, and if it is necessary we tell you first and explain exactly what replacing the lock involves.
Yes, and usually on the same visit. We attend as an emergency, make the property secure, replace forced or drilled locks with high-security anti-snap equivalents, and repair damage to the door and frame. You get a written damage and works report for your insurance claim.
Yes. Broken key extraction is one of our most common jobs. In most cases the fragment is removed with proper extraction tools, the lock is unharmed, and we cut you a replacement key on site.
Often, yes. Stiff, sticking or misaligned locks, dropped doors and worn handles are usually repairable. We recommend replacement only when the lock is worn beyond tolerance, has been forced, or no longer meets the security standard your insurer requires — and we explain which of those applies before doing the work.
Photo ID plus something linking you to the address — a bill, bank letter, tenancy agreement or confirmation from your landlord or letting agent. Every reputable locksmith asks, because it is the same check that protects your own door.
Yes. Every engineer is DBS checked, police vetted, UKLA trained and fully insured, arrives uniformed and carries photo ID that you can ask to see at the door.
Yes. Workmanship is guaranteed and all hardware we supply carries the manufacturer's warranty. If something we fitted fails, call us and we will come back.
Call now and speak to an engineer. We aim to be with you within 30 minutes, 24 hours a day.
Send a photo of your lock or door on WhatsApp and we will tell you what it is and what it needs — before you book anything.
