We board up after break-ins, attempted forced entry, smashed glazing, vandalism, storm damage and accidents, for homes, shops, offices and empty properties. Boards go on the same visit, and we come back to complete the permanent repair once glass or joinery has been arranged.

Secure tonight, repaired properly afterwards

Boarding is deliberately a temporary measure — the point is to get you through the night without an open opening. Once the property is secure, we book the permanent repair: new locks, door and frame work, or glazing arranged through a glazier. Nobody is left living behind plywood for weeks because nobody followed it up.

A badly boarded window advertises an empty, damaged property, which attracts exactly the attention you do not want. We cut boards to fit the opening, fix them properly to sound timber or frame rather than tacking them over brickwork, and leave the finish tidy — particularly on shopfronts, where a scruffy board tells everyone you are closed.

Glass cleared before anyone else is hurt

Broken glazing is the part people underestimate. Before boarding, we clear the frame of loose and hanging glass and remove the debris from the doorway or pavement, so nobody in the household, and no passer-by outside a shop, walks into it in the dark.
